Celebrate Bonaire, On the Water
September 6 is Dia di Boneiru — Bonaire's national day, a moment when the whole island comes together to honour its culture, heritage, and identity. Each year, Lady Bellaïs marks the occasion with a special edition cruise that captures the true spirit of the celebration. The deck fills with islanders and visitors alike, all sharing in the joy of a day that belongs to Bonaire and everyone who calls it home.
On board, traditional Bonairean and Caribbean music sets the tone for the morning. Drinks and refreshments are included as the schooner sails along the coastline, with the island's famous turquoise waters spread out in every direction. A swimming stop is included — a perfect chance to cool off in the crystal-clear sea before the festivities continue. The atmosphere is festive, inclusive, and genuinely warm: this is a community event, and everyone is part of it.
The Dia di Boneiru cruise is one of the most popular sailings of the year, and it sells out quickly. It is suitable for the whole family — children, parents, grandparents, and everyone in between. If you want to experience Bonaire at its most alive, there is no better day, and no better place, than aboard Lady Bellaïs on September 6.
